Snapshot Two: Capturing a Scene

When I was growing up I can say that I have a lot of good memories to hold onto. My memories are what have reflected on who I am today. As a child I was really non-extroverted and really had no friends. So trying to find new friends was a goal that I really wanted to do so I could make something better of myself.

When I was around eleven years young I was just going into fifth grade. Knowing nobody in a new school that was really big and “scary” in my eyes, I felt like a lost puppy in a nobody town. Thinking things that were really unnecessary that only made me more terrified of going to school. On my first day I never knew that I was going to go home that day with a life long best friend.

I'll never forget that year when our guidance counselor told our class, “Friends you make now will never last forever” When he said that I knew that someday I could come back and rub it in his face. Her name is Sam, my best friend and well my current best friend for eight years, the memories we have together are memories that I can reflect back on twenty years from now and still vividly remember them. I can say that since then meeting Sam has shaped me into the person I am now, and she expanded my thoughts on life, I don’t know where I'd be without her today.
